Zenit St Petersburg have announced the appointment of Andre Villas-Boas as the club's new head coach on a two-year contract.
The Portuguese coach has been out of work since leaving Tottenham Hotspur after one-and-a-half seasons at White Hart Lane in December.
The Russian club have confirmed that the 36-year-old has agreed terms with the outfit and will put pen to paper on the deal, as well as be presented to the media on March 20.
Villas-Boas, who has replaced Luciano Spalletti following the Italian's dismissal last week, will begin work with his new club on Thursday after Zenit's last-16 Champions League second leg against Borussia Dortmund.
Zenit, who were beaten by Dortmund 4-2 in the first leg, will be under the leadership of Sergey Semak for Wednesday's match.
Before Villas-Boas's unsuccessful stint at Tottenham, the Portuguese coach took on his first English management role at Chelsea, where he lasted just nine months.
