Sports Mole's Championship Team of the Week

Sports Mole rounds up the best XI from Gameweek 13 in the Championship as well as highlighting the biggest numpty and the best goal.

The 13th round of fixtures in the Championship gave us 31 goals and a nasty four red cards.

At the top, Burnley continued their impressive march by ousting fellow high-flyers Queens Park Rangers at Turf Moor for their seventh-straight victory in the league.

Leicester City are currently second thanks to a 2-1 victory over Bournemouth, while at the bottom winless Sheffield Wednesday now prop up the table after an eighth draw of the season against fellow strugglers Barnsley.

Here, Sports Mole picks out its best XI as well as highlighting the biggest numpty and best goal.

Wayne Hennessey (Yeovil)
Hennessey was in inspired form as the lowly Glovers pulled off the shock result of the weekend by beating Forest 3-1. The Welsh keeper, on loan from Wolves, saved a penalty and then pulled off an outrageous stop from the rebound as well as letting in just one of the visitors' 13 shots on target.

Kieran Trippier (Burnley)
You're probably bored of seeing Trippier's name in the right-back slot of the Championship TOTW. However, the Burnley right-back once again was excellent both at the back and going forward as the Clarets kept out QPR to move further clear at the Championship's summit.
Daniel Ayala (Middlesbrough)
The Spaniard made his debut after moving from Norwich on loan and helped Boro to a clean sheet as well as heading in a goal to mark his first appearance in style.
Byron Webster (Yeovil)
Another defender to get on the scoresheet was Webster, who completed a four-goal first half that put Yeovil 3-1 up at the break against Forest. He then defended doggedly in the second period as Forest threw the kitchen sink at the home side but could not find the net.
Craig Forsyth (Derby)
Forsyth was regularly an outlet for Derby on the left and was excellent in the air and in the tackle as the Rams fought out a draw with Birmingham.

Will Buckley (Brighton)
Brighton winger Buckley caused Watford all sorts of problems on Monday night and was extremely unlucky not to come away with at least a goal or an assist as the shares were spoiled on a controversial night at The Amex.
Ed Upson (Yeovil)
Upson is Yeovil's top scorer with five goals this season and his brace of long-rangers set Yeovil on their way to much-needed three points. The first took a deflection and was somewhat fortunate, but the second was a pure strike that flew in.
Paddy McCourt (Barnsley)
McCourt scored a memorable solo effort last week in the win over Boro and was again in dazzling form, regularly beating his man and setting up a number of chances that his teammates failed to convert as the South Yorkshire derby against Wednesday ended level.
Albert Adomah (Middlesbrough)
An astonishing third week in a row in 'Team of the Week' for Adomah, who put in an electric display as Donny were thrashed in Mark Venus's first game in temporary charge of Boro. The Ghanaian scored two first-half goals showcasing his range of talent with a deft lob (see below) and an excellent header.

Danny Ings (Burnley)
The chemistry between Burnley's front duo of Ings and Sam Vokes has been lovely to watch this season and again the pair were on form as QPR's unbeaten start ended. Ings scored both goals at Turf Moor and the first was a perfect example of two teammates who know exactly where each other is going to be. Ings laid it off for Vokes before setting off behind the defence where Vokes found him with a delightful reverse pass that Ings finished with aplomb.
Kei Kamara (Middlesbrough)
A third Boro man in the lineup is Kamara, whose perfectly-weighted pass set up Adomah's first before he got in on the scoring act in the second half. The Sierra Leonean forward was an brilliant target man all night, winning headers and holding up play neatly.

Numpty of the Week

Steven Davies: The Blackpool frontman came on with 20 minutes left against Blackburn with his side leading 2-1 against their Lancashire neighbours and found the net in the dying moments. However, his flick-on was at the wrong end and gifted Rovers a point.

Goal of the Week

Albert Adomah (Boro) vs. Doncaster: Adomah's first against Donny was a gem as he ran onto Kei Kamara's ball over the top before lobbing the onrushing Ross Turnbull with the outside of his foot from 20 yards. Think Ramires for Chelsea at Camp Nou, but arguably better.
