Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has insisted that he always knew Kevin Doyle would find his goalscoring touch again after the Republic of Ireland striker netted twice in his club's 2-2 draw with Bolton Wanderers.
Doyle's double saw him end a run of eight games without a goal and Solbakken has insisted that his striker's confidence was never affected during the drought.
Solbakken said: "It was good to see him score and that the margins were on his side after he had hit the post four or five times this season.
"I don't think that his confidence has ever been affected because we had talked about it and said the goals will come."
The draw with Bolton saw Wolves remain in fifth place in the Championship table.
