Mick McCarthy says he is hoping to take at least a point from his trip to Everton tomorrow.

Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has said he is hoping to take at least a point from their trip to Goodison Park tomorrow.

The Toffees have endured a poor run of form of late, losing five of their last six games, albeit to the top five teams in the table. Wolves, meanwhile, are hoping to build on their recent win over fellow strugglers Wigan.

"We've got similar recent records then - should be a great game!" said McCarthy. "The stakes are pretty high this weekend.

"It is their home game and they will be looking at it as an opportunity to win but we will be looking at it as something we want to get something from."

McCarthy paid tribute to Everton's "terrific" performance in recent years under the leadership of David Moyes but added that he doesn't "want to be the one that starts them off on a good run".

Wolves currently sit 13th in the table on 11 points, one point above Everton, who are 17th.

Kickoff at Goodison Park tomorrow is 3pm.
