Wigan Athletic have had a bid accepted for Brentford's Adam Forshaw after a prolonged pursuit of the player this summer.
Brentford rejected multiple bids for the 22-year-old midfielder over the last month and Wigan have finally agreed to match the London club's valuation.
The Bees confirmed that Forshaw is now travelling North to discuss personal terms with the Latics.
"Now that our valuation has been met we have given permission to Adam to meet and talk with Wigan," Bees boss Mark Warburton told the club website.
"Brentford did not need to sell Adam and we will not be dictated to by any individual or potential buying club in such situations."
Forshaw was named League One's Player of the Season in 2013-14 as Brentford were promoted automatically to the second tier.
