Wigan Athletic have reportedly made an approach to Hull City over the availability of manager Steve Bruce.
The Latics, who were relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, are considering their options following Roberto Martinez's decision to leave the DW Stadium.
While Bruce guided Hull to the Premier League just one month ago, it is believed that Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has spoken to the club over his potential capture, according to the Daily Mail.
Bruce took the Latics to their highest finish of 11th in the top flight of English football when he was in charge of the team five years ago.
