West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that he is considering a move for Dutch midfielder Orlando Engelaar.

The 33-year-old, who is currently on trial with the Hammers after being released by PSV Eindhoven in the summer, featured in Saturday's friendly victory over Bournemouth.

"A player of his experience and his quality, we'll have him with us for a few days to see if he could be a valuable member of our team," Allardyce told the club's official website. "We'll obviously make that decision in the near future."

Engelaar won 14 caps for the Netherlands between 2007 and 2010.
