Team News: Charlie Austin starts for Southampton

Charlie Austin starts up front for Southampton for their trip to West Ham United.

Charlie Austin has earned a rare start in the frontline for Southampton's trip to West Ham United this afternoon.

The striker is rewarded by manager Claude Puel after netting four times in three games, including coming off the bench to score the winner against Swansea City last time out.

Shane Long drops to the bench as Austin joins Dusan Tadic and Nathan Redmond in the Saints' attack, while Jordy Clasie also makes way as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg comes into the midfield.

For the hosting Hammers, Slaven Bilic makes two changes to the side that were defeated 4-2 at West Bromwich Albion last time out as he looks to arrest a run of four losses from five games.

Both of those changes come in the defence as Alvaro Arbeloa and Winston Reid start and James Collins and the injured Arthur Masuaku drop out.

West Ham United: Adrian; Nordtveit, Reid, Ogbonna, Arbeloa; Antonio, Kouyate, Noble, Payet; Lanzini; Zaza

Southampton: Forster; Soares, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand; Davis, Romeu, Hojbjerg; Tadic, Austin, Redmond
