Kevin Nolan only focused on winning

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan reveals that he is happy to continue playing in the same style as last season as long as his side win more frequently.

West Ham United skipper Kevin Nolan is adamant that he isn't too bothered about playing entertaining football next season as long as his side are winning games.

Hammers boss Sam Allardyce was asked to meet with the club's co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan to outline improvements in his team's style of play for the 2014-15 season.

Despite the wishes of the co-owners, Nolan has admitted that he is only focused on winning games, no matter how they come.

Nolan told the club's official website: "A lot of emphasis has been put on the plan to play more entertaining football this season but I think, at the end of the day, as long as we're winning games, that's the be all and end all and when you're winning games you're going to be attacking teams and scoring goals.

"Last year, the most disappointing thing was we had 14 clean sheets and we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

"If we had put the ball in the back of the net a few more times, we would have been a lot higher in the league and we would have had a lot happier camp, but that wasn't to be."

West Ham finished 13th in the Premier League last season.
