West Ham United midfielder Mark Noble has admitted that it has been a "tough season" for the club.
The Hammers secured their Premier League status with a game to spare on Saturday as they earned a 2-0 win over local rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Upton Park.
Despite the team's disappointing form during the campaign, Noble believes that injuries and bad luck have both contributed to a difficult 2013-14 for Sam Allardyce's side.
"Yes, it's been a tough season, but the problems we have had with the injuries we've had and the bad luck we've had in games mean we've not quite got what we deserved," he told the club's official website.
"I said how important it was to get the squad back together and now we're 12th in the Premier League."
West Ham's season reaches its conclusion on Sunday when they face title-chasing Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
