West Bromwich Albion midfielder George Thorne has reportedly seen a transfer request rejected by the club.
Thorne spent the final weeks of the season on loan at Derby County, and his performances in the East Midlands has seen the Championship side signal their intent in trying to sign the 21-year-old on a permanent basis.
However, according to Express & Star, West Brom have turned down an official transfer request from Thorne, and informed the England Under-21 international that they have no plans to sell him during the summer.
However, it is believed that Derby will return with a second offer for Thorne, with their first bid said to be in the region of £1m.
