West Bromwich Albion reportedly had an offer for Steven Naismith turned down by Rangers last week.
The Scottish Premier League side are currently in administration and as a result the majority of their squad are believed to be available for transfer at the right price.
The Baggies have tracked the Scottish international for some time and firmed up their interest with an official bid, according to Sky Sports News.
However, the undisclosed offer was rejected by the club's administrators Duff & Phelps.
West Brom are also said to be scouting Naismith's teammate Allan McGregor.
