Watford terminate Brice Dja Djedje contract

Watford confirm that they have terminated the contract of Ivory Coast defender Brice Dja Djedje by mutual consent.

The 27-year-old joined the Hornets from Marseille in 2016 but only made two FA Cup appearances and did not feature in the Premier League.

Last season, Djedje went on loan to Ligue 2 side Lens but returned to Vicarage Road when the loan deal expired.

"Watford FC confirms that following completion of the appropriate documentation today, it has been agreed to terminate the contract of defender Brice Dja Djedje by mutual consent," the club wrote in a statement on Wednesday.

Turkish club Ankaragucu have since announced the signing of the Ivory Coast international.
