Watford defender Brice Dja Djedje 'arrested for domestic violence'

A report claims that Watford defender Brice Dja Djedje, currently on loan with Ligue 2 side Lens, was arrested for an alleged act of domestic violence on Thursday.

Watford defender Brice Dja Djedje has been arrested after a claim of domestic violence was made against him, according to a report.

The 27-year-old, who is currently on loan at Ligue 2 club Lens, is said to have spent Thursday night behind bars at Arras police station in Northern France.

Dja Djedje was allegedly involved in a heated discussion with his girlfriend, at which point police were called and took him away from the property.

The Sun claims that prosecutors have now opened an enquiry, but neither Watford nor loan club Lens have been willing to give a comment.

Watford sent Dja Djedje to Lens last month to gain further playing time in the second half of the campaign after struggling to break into their first team.
