Watford recall Uche Ikpeazu in bizarre U-turn

Watford oddly end Uche Ikpeazu's loan at Crewe Alexandra less than 24 hours after agreeing to keep the striker at Gresty Road until the end of the season.

Watford recalled Uche Ikpeazu from his loan at Crewe Alexandra this morning, less than 24 hours after extending his stint with the Railwaymen until the end of the season.

In a bizarre turn of events, Watford have cut short his time with Crewe so that he can join another Football League club.

It is believed that Crewe's fellow League One side Doncaster Rovers could be the team set to poach him from the Railwaymen.

The 19-year-old scored twice in eight appearances for Crewe after joining them for a second loan spell in November.
