Craig Cathcart agrees new four-year Watford contract

Watford defender Craig Cathcart puts pen to paper on a new four-year contract with the newly-promoted Hornets.

Newly-promoted Premier League side Watford have tied down defender Craig Cathcart with a new four-year contract.

The 26-year-old joined Watford from Blackpool on a two-year contract last year and he has now extended his stay until 2019.

He made 30 appearances in his first season as a Hornet, scoring three goals from defence to help them earn automatic promotion to the top flight.

It has been a busy couple of days at Watford, with Matej Vydra and Gabriele Angella also signing long-term deals at Vicarage Road yesterday.
