Valencia boss Nuno signs new long-term deal

Valencia hand head coach Nuno a new long-term contract at the Mestalla.

Valencia have confirmed that head coach Nuno has signed a new long-term contract with the Spanish outfit.

The Portuguese joined Los Che from Rio Ave this summer and his work in the first half of the campaign has been lauded in various quarters.

A statement on the club's official website has confirmed that the 40-year-old has penned a new deal at the Mestalla until the summer of 2018.

The former Spanish champions have won 10 of their 18 league games this season, with a total of 35 points leaving them in fifth spot in La Liga.

Valencia also have the second-best home record in the league this season.
