Sports Mole previews Sunday's Women's Super League clash between Tottenham Hotspur Ladies and West Ham United Women, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies will look to avoid a third consecutive defeat in the Women's Super League when they welcome West Ham United Women to Brisbane Road on Sunday.

The hosts are currently sat in seventh place, while West Ham are three points better off in sixth position, although the Hammers have lost three of their last four league games.

Tottenham began the WSL season with three wins from their opening five games of the WSL season, but since thrashing Brighton & Hove Albion 8-0, they have lost consecutive league matches.

After losing 3-0 to their London rivals Chelsea, Spurs were edged out by Reading last weekend with an Amy Turner own goal separating the two sides.

The 1-0 defeat leaves Tottenham in the bottom half of the WSL table, but they are three points adrift of West Ham with two games in hand.

Rehanne Skinner's side have only played three home games in all competitions this term, resulting in two wins and one defeat.

With Spurs set to play West Ham and Everton at Brisbane Road in their final two games of the calendar year, they will hope that they can use home advantage to record a couple of positive results and move up the league table.

Meanwhile, West Ham had the opportunity to claim a third consecutive win in all competitions when they faced Liverpool last weekend.

After beating Leicester in the WSL and Birmingham City in the League Cup, the Hammers would have travelled to Prenton Park in a confident mood, but they suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat.

Ceri Holland and Katie Stengel both found the net in the opening 20 minutes to condemn West Ham to their third defeat in their last four WSL matches.

As a result of that defeat, the Hammers have now lost three of their four away games in the WSL this season, with their only victory coming against Aston Villa.

The Hammers have managed to take four points off Tottenham last season, and they have held Spurs to a draw in their last two away meetings.

Team News

Kit Graham and Ria Percival remain sidelined for the hosts, although Ward has indicated that the pair are making positive strides in their recovery process.

Tottenham are also unable to call upon Ellie Brazil and Kyah Simon, who are both long-term injury absentees.

Despite losing narrowly to Reading, Tottenham could name an unchanged starting XI, which would see Rosella Ayane retain her place in the side.

As for the visitors, they are still without the services of Lucy Parker, Jess Ziu and Emma Snerle due to injury issues.

Hawa Cissoko returned from suspension to feature as a substitute against Liverpool last weekend, and the defender could be brought into the side for Sunday's contest.

Thea Kyvag also came off the bench against Liverpool, and she could come into the front three to start alongside Lisa Evans and Viviane Asseyi.

Tottenham Hotspur Ladies possible starting lineup:
Spencer; Turner, Bartrip, Zadorsky, Ale; Summanen, James; Naz, Spence, Neville; Ayane

West Ham United Women possible starting lineup:
Arnold; Shimizu, Fisk, Cissoko, Smith; Brynjarsdottir, Longhurst, Hayashi; Evans, Kyvag, Asseyi

We say: Tottenham Hotspur Ladies 2-1 West Ham United Women

While West Ham have won only one of their four away league games this season, Tottenham have managed to win two of their three home WSL matches, and we think that the hosts will make full use of home advantage to claim a narrow victory.
