Ashley Williams has confirmed that Swansea City are planning to offer him an extension to his contract.
The 28-year-old said that formal negotiations have not yet got underway, but has stated that there is no rush to get a contract signed.
"It's early days and we haven't got down to talking about it," Wales Online quoted Williams as saying. "The club have just let me know they want to offer me another one, but there is no rush. I have this year and next year left on my contract.
"Swansea know me. They know I'm not too bothered about contracts. I just get on with the job. But it's a boost and it shows I am doing my job properly.
"It's always nice to be wanted in anything in life. I've been at Swansea five years and I know Huw [Jenkins] and how he works, so there is no big pressure on it."
The Welsh international centre-back joined the Swans from Stockport County in 2008.
