Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that the club are "hopeful" of signing on-loan midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson on a permanent deal.
The playmaker, who will finish his temporary stint at the Liberty Stadium from Hoffenheim this weekend, has been attracting interest from a number of clubs within the Premier League.
Despite rumours of a switch elsewhere, Rodgers is confident that the 22-year-old will opt to stay with the Swans.
"He has been brilliant in his time here and he really enjoys it here," said Rodgers. "Our club is looking to get something in place with Hoffenheim.
"It will probably run over until the end of the season but we are very hopeful we can prise him here. He will be a great signing for us."
Meanwhile, Rodgers revealed that he will be working with the Spain national team at their training camp ahead of the European Championships.
