Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has refused to rule out the possibility of making a move for Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
The Eagles were linked with Gomis earlier this month before Wilfried Bony left Swansea for Manchester City, and that deal is likely to result in more opportunities for the Frenchman in Garry Monk's side.
Palace are looking to sign another forward following the arrival of Yaya Sanogo as reports continue to link the club with a move for Gomis, who was rumoured to be a target for Newcastle United during Pardew's reign at St James' Park.
"We should be in the market for another striker, and we're currently trying to find another route," the Palace boss told reporters.
"He is a Swansea player and I'm not going to talk about players who are under contract at other clubs. We are looking at the market, we're making discreet calls to chairman and to managers."
Reports on Thursday suggested that Palace had also failed in a bid to sign Swansea defender Neil Taylor for £3m.
