Southampton continue their good form with a 1-1 draw against Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

A stubborn defensive display from Southampton helped Mauricio Pochettino's side play out a goalless draw with Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The defenders stole the show for the majority of the first half, with chances a rarity in a tight contest at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea predictably dominated possession but it was the Saints who had the best chance of the half when the ball fell to Jay Rodriguez, but the forward's effort was weak and Michel Vorm easily saved.

Vorm was called into action once again just before the break as he dived across his goal to tip away Rickie Lambert's dangerous free kick.

Wayne Routledge was introduced to the game at half time and the substitute almost had an immediate impact when he danced past two Southampton defenders before picking out Michu, who headed wide of the goal.

Swansea wasted the best chance of the game just after the hour mark, with Nathan Dyer seeing an effort cleared off the line by Maya Yoshida.

The hosts continued to push for a winner, with Jonathan De Guzman being denied by Artur Boruc, but Southampton managed to hold on for an impressive point.
