Half-Time Report: Swansea City come back to level with Bournemouth

Swansea City come from two goals down to go into the break level in their Premier League clash with Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium.

Swansea City have come from two goals down to go into the break level with Bournemouth in their Premier League clash at the Liberty Stadium.

The visitors started the half brightly, and created the game's first opportunity on four minutes when Junior Stanislas teed up Dan Gosling for an effort, but the former Newcastle United man blazed his shot over the bar.

Bournemouth took a deserved lead six minutes later when Stanislas found Joshua King from the left, leaving the Norwegian to produce a simple finish past Lukasz Fabianski.

Swansea City came close to an immediate equaliser, as Cherries keeper Adam Federici kept out a curling Wayne Routledge effort, before the Australian held an Eder header from the resulting corner.

The Cherries thought that they had added a second goal on 18 minutes when Simon Francis found the net, but the linesman flagged for offside against the defender.

Bournemouth did manage to find the net for a second time on 26 minutes, as Matt Ritchie found Gosling, who timed his run to perfection before firing into the top corner of the net.

Eddie Howe's side were unable to celebrate for too long though, as Andre Ayew pulled a goal back for the hosts two minutes later - picking up a Jonjo Shelvey header before firing past Federici.

Swansea completed the comeback on 39 minutes when they were awarded a penalty by referee Andre Marriner as Francis brought down Ayew in the box. Shelvey took the spot kick, and fired past Federici.
