Sunderland complete Ignacio Scocco signing

Sunderland complete the signing of Argentine striker Ignacio Scocco from Internacional.

Sunderland have completed the signing of striker Ignacio Scocco from Internacional.

The 28-year-old, who has joined the Black Cats for an undisclosed fee, has penned a two-and-a-half-year contract at the Stadium of Light.

Scocco only joined Internacional last summer, but after just three goals in 17 appearances for the Brazilian side, he was allowed to move to England.

The Argentina international becomes Gus Poyet's fourth signing of the January transfer window following deals for Marcos Alonso, Santiago Vergini and Oscar Ustari.
