St Mirren sign Keith Watson

Former Dundee United defender Keith Watson agrees a deal with St Mirren until January 2016.

Scottish Championship side St Mirren have completed the signing of Keith Watson.

The defender, who was released by Dundee United at the end of last season, has agreed a deal with the Paisley-based club that will run until January 2016.

"It's been a long summer and I'm absolutely delighted to come here, do well for St Mirren and hopefully get as much games as I can," the 25-year-old told the club's official website.

"I done quite a bit of training with Hibs over the summer and got quite a lot of running there and I was also in Aberdeen for a couple of weeks and trained with them so I think my fitness will be fine. I haven't played any pre-season friendlies but hopefully I can get into the team and that'll come through games."

Watson has been assigned the No.20 shirt for his stint with the Buddies.
