New St Mirren boss Tommy Craig looking to sign between "six and eight players"

New St Mirren manager Tommy Craig is looking to bolster his squad with up to eight new players.

Tommy Craig has revealed that he could sign up to "eight players" in the summer.

Craig was installed as the new Buddies manager on Tuesday, 24 hours after former boss Danny Lennon was relieved of his duties.

The 63-year-old says that his first priority is to look at which players will be staying and going.

"It's going to be a tense, difficult, busy couple of days," Craig told reporters. "You're looking at somewhere between six and eight players will probably have to come in, but I'll get down to the nitty gritty of that in due course."

Craig, who started his playing career at Aberdeen, has installed Jim Goodwin and Gary Teale as his assistants.
