Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has denied suggestions that he is interested in signing Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham.
The former England captain, 37, who trained with the Spurs squad last year, will become a free agent next month.
Beckham is not short of European admirers, with Monaco and West Ham United having already declared their interest in his signature.
While Villas-Boas believes that Beckham still has a lot to offer at the top level, he is not planning to offer the player a contract at White Hart Lane.
"He is such a wonderful player," said Villas-Boas. "The rhythm of the Premier League is intense but he has so much experience of it.
"He brings so much to English football. That's why everyone is anxious to see which move he is going to take.
"It would be good to have him back in Europe, but not here, no. I don't think so."
Earlier today, Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe described Beckham as "a legend".
