Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly seeking cheaper alternatives to Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope in their hunt for a replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Current Spurs shot-stopper Lloris has just over a year left on his contract and has been linked with a number of clubs, including a reunion at Paris Saint-Germain with former manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Recent reports have suggested that Spurs could look to cash in on their captain due to his uncertain future, and that Burnley's Pope was at the top of their list of potential replacements.
The England international was one clean sheet away from the Golden Gloves last season after registering 15 Premier League shutouts.
However, the Daily Mail reports that Tottenham are not willing to pay the £30m+ asking price for Pope and are now searching for cheaper alternatives.
The North London side may turn their attention to Belgium international and Wolfsburg shot-stopper Koen Casteels or Lille's Mike Maignan, the latter of whom Spurs are currently scouting.
The former has kept 16 clean sheets in 30 games this season, while the Frenchman has registered 18 shutouts in 40 matches this campaign.
