Manchester United could reportedly make a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris this summer amid doubts over the future of David de Gea.
The Frenchman is being touted for a Spurs exit this summer after nine years with the North London club, who are said to be keeping tabs on several potential replacements, including Lille stopper Mike Maignan.
L'Equipe reports that United could enquire about Lloris's availability if they are to part ways with De Gea, with the Spaniard believed to be considering his options.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had Dean Henderson playing as his first-choice goalkeeper in the absence of De Gea, who recently returned to Spain for the birth of his child and with the Englishman performing well in this period, the former Atletico Madrid youngster may now have fears that he has lost his place in the first team.
However, Henderson himself has been scouted by a number of clubs, which could leave the door open for De Gea to stay if the former Sheffield United loanee was to move on instead.
Lloris has played 363 times for Spurs since joining from Ligue 1 side Lyon in 2012 and despite playing in the 2019 Champions League final, he has never won a trophy for the club.
