Tottenham Hotspur want Roberto Martinez?

Everton boss Roberto Martinez reportedly heads the shortlist to be the next Tottenham Hotspur boss.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Everton boss Roberto Martinez as a potential successor to Tim Sherwood.

Sherwood is widely expected to be relieved of his duties at White Hart Lane at the end of the season, and several names have been linked with the Londoners, including Southampton's Mauricio Pochettino and Frank de Boer.

However, according to The Mirror, the Toffees boss is now at the top of the shortlist, with the Spurs hierarchy said to have been impressed by the Spaniard's work at Goodison Park this season.

Spurs are currently sixth in the Premier League, while Martinez has led Everton to fifth.
