Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.
While Spurs are yet to make a first-team signing this summer, head coach Mauricio Pochettino has stressed that he will be making additions before the end of the transfer window, and it appears that the Argentine is eyeing a move for an offensive-minded player.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Spurs are ready to make a bid in the region of £27m for a player who may spend less time on the pitch if Barcelona complete deals for Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele.
It has been suggested that Napoli were initially considered to be the frontrunners for the former Villarreal playmaker, but Spurs could now offer the 23-year-old another potential destination.
In his first season at Camp Nou, Suarez only made 12 starts in La Liga, with three goals being scored from 37 appearances in all competitions.
The Spaniard made two appearances for Manchester City at the start of his career before leaving for loan spells back in his homeland.
