Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering an approach for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino failed to make a single first-team signing during the summer, but the Argentine is expected to be active during the January window.
Doucoure has attracted the interest of Spurs in the past, and according to The Mirror, the North London outfit could make an attempt to sign the 25-year-old as a replacement for Victor Wanyama.
Watford currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League standings, and Doucoure has played a major role for the Hornets by contributing four assists as well as featuring for every minute of the first 10 games.
Doucoure only penned a new five-year contract in August, but that is unlikely to stop Spurs or any other admirers from lodging an offer at the midway point of the campaign.
