Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly beat Barcelona to the signing of Djurgardens IF youngster Lucas Bergvall.
The 17-year-old is widely considered as one of the hottest prospects in European football and has peaked the interest of a number of major clubs.
Since making his Djurgardens debut in January 2023, Bergvall has played 29 times for the Swedish top-flight outfit, scoring on three occasions.
The midfielder's performances domestically earned him a maiden call-up on the international stage last month, with the youngster playing 12 minutes of Sweden's friendly win over Estonia on January 12.
According to journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic, Tottenham have won the race against Barcelona for the services of highly-rated Bergvall this week.

The report claims that the teenager will fly to England on Friday - his 18th birthday - to complete a medical with Spurs at their training facilities in London.
It is understood that Bergvall will put pen to paper on a five-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, committing his future in North London until 2029.
Spurs will supposedly pay a fixed €10m (£8.5m) for the midfielder, with the deal also containing a number of performance-related add-ons.
The midfielder will be sent straight back on loan to Djurgardens until the summer, with the Swedish Allsvenskan season starting in the middle of February.

It was widely reported that Xavi's Barcelona were close to an agreement for Bergvall, however it is believed that Spurs have been able to convince the player to move to England.
The Swede met chairman Daniel Levy and head coach Ange Postecoglou on Monday during a visit of Tottenham's training ground and stadium.
Bergvall had a similar day in Barcelona on Tuesday, however it is believed that the La Liga giants have missed out on their transfer target.
It was reported earlier in the month that Manchester United were interested in signing Bergvall, who is also said to have caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt.
