Roma are reportedly planning to make an approach for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg later in 2022.
The 26-year-old is regarded as an important member of the Spurs squad, making 59 Premier League starts since his arrival in August 2020.
However, the signing of Rodrgio Bentancur has cast doubt over his position in the starting lineup under Antonio Conte, seemingly resulting in admirers emerging from elsewhere.
According to Football Insider, Roma are monitoring the situation with the plan currently to make a bid for the Denmark international.
The report claims that any deal is dependent on Jose Mourinho remaining in charge at Stadio Olimpico, something which may be in doubt if the Portuguese does not deliver European football for 2022-23.
Mourinho signed Hojbjerg for Spurs before he was sacked during the latter stages of the 2020-21 campaign.
