Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson has reportedly been observed closely by Tottenham Hotspur in the run-up to the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old is believed to be a target for a number of Premier League clubs and was previously linked with a move to North London during the summer.
Bournemouth and Watford have more recently been tipped to make a formal approach for the former France Under-21s international, but L'Equipe suggests that Tottenham could be about to swoop first.
Sanson, who joined Marseille from Montpellier HSC just short of two years ago, has scored 16 goals and set up 14 more during his time at the Stade Velodrome.
Spurs did not spend a single penny in the summer but have a number of players on their radar for next month, and the report claims that £18m-rated Sanson is among them.
