Real Madrid are reportedly considering delaying an approach for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The Denmark international has enjoyed a productive five-and-a-half-year spell in North London, but the playmaker has just over a year remaining on his contract.
That has allegedly resulted in strong interest from a number of European clubs, and it has been suggested that Real Madrid are admirers of the 27-year-old.
However, according to The Sun, Real are not necessarily in a rush to get a deal over the line given their desire to make other changes to their squad.
The report claims that the Spanish giants may bide their time before looking to sign Eriksen on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
Spurs are eager to keep one of their star men at the club, but Eriksen will need to be provided with improved terms in order for him to commit his future to the Premier League outfit.
