Fulham manager Martin Jol has played down talks of a move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Huddlestone on transfer deadline day.
The Cottagers are close to completing the loan signing of Urby Emanuelson from AC Milan, and have been linked with a permanent deal for the Spurs man.
However, Jol has denied that the club are looking to bring Huddlestone to Craven Cottage for the long term.
"I think it is awful to get a permanent transfer for someone like Huddlestone on the last day," Sky Sports News quotes Jol as saying.
"I started five weeks ago and that won't happen on the last day."
Fulham beat West Ham United 3-1 on Wednesday in the Premier League.
