Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly priced Gareth Bale out of a summer move to European champions Barcelona.
It had been suggested that the Spanish outfit would bid for the 22-year-old at the end of the season, but they are not prepared to pay more than £17m for the Welshman, according to the Daily Mail.
However, Spurs will not entertain bids of less than £40m for a player who has emerged into one of the best talents in the Premier League.
Barcelona have therefore reportedly lined up a move for Valencia defender Jordi Alba as a more realistic option.
