Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro claims that Spurs teammate Gareth Bale wants to play for Barcelona.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has claimed that teammate Gareth Bale would be interested in a move to Barcelona.

Bale, 22, has been linked with a move abroad this summer, with Real Madrid and Barcelona amongst the clubs reported to be interested.

While Bale himself has remained fairly muted on the subject, Sandro believes that the Welshman does want to play in Spain.

"Gareth is calm, but I am sure that he would like to play at Barca," he told COM Radio.

Spurs are currently fourth in the Premier League table.
