Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor has joined Tottenham Hotspur on a permanent basis.
Reports this afternoon claimed that the two clubs were nearing an agreement over a fee for the Togo centre-forward, who spent last season on loan with Spurs.
A post on Tottenham's official Twitter page has now confirmed that the deal has been completed.
"We are delighted to announce that we have completed the transfer of Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City. More to come soon!" read the tweet.
The 28-year-old scored 17 Premier League goals for Spurs last year.
