Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino hands an immediate recall to midfielder Christian Eriksen for the Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has handed an immediate recall to midfielder Christian Eriksen for the Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town.

Eriksen was forced to miss the midweek trip to APOEL in the Champions League due to illness, but Pochettino has decided to bring the playmaker straight back into the team for the trip to the John Smith's Stadium.

Pochettino has opted to make a total of three alterations, with Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli coming back into the side after their European bans, and Serge Aurier and Moussa Sissoko dropping out.

As for the Terriers, head coach David Wagner makes just one change to the team which registered a goalless draw away at Burnley last weekend.

Winger Rajiv van La Parra has been brought back into the starting lineup, with Abdelhamid Sabiri only featuring on the substitutes' bench.

Wagner had suggested that forward Steve Mounie could return to the fold after injury, but the club's top goalscorer is again an absentee.

Huddersfield Town: Lossl, Smith, Jorgensen, Schindler, Lowe, Mooy, Hogg, Kachunga, Van La Parra, Ince, Depoitre
Subs: Green, Malone, Whitehead, Billing, Sabiri, Cranie, Hadergjonaj

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Winks, Eriksen, Dele, Kane
Subs: Vorm, Foyth, Walker-Peters, Sissoko, Nkoudou, Son, Llorente
