Tottenham Hotspur reportedly face missing out on compensation should Newcastle United appoint Mauricio Pochettino.
The 48-year-old, out of work since being sacked by Spurs in November, has emerged as a possible managerial target for Newcastle.
United are on the brink of being taken over by new Saudi owners, who are supposedly eager to bring in a big-name manager with them.
Should the Magpies name Pochettino as their new boss, the Evening Standard reports that Tottenham are not in line for any sort of payout.
The North London outfit are still paying the Argentinian's full £8.5m salary, however, and would therefore welcome his appointment at Newcastle.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that United are set for a £200m cash injection should their takeover be finalised.
