West Ham United goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen urges his team to stop Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale.

West Ham United goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen believes that his teammates need to prevent Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale from getting dangerous free kicks.

The Wales international has netted 21 goals in 36 appearances, and the Hammers keeper is more than aware of Bale's threat heading into Monday's Premier League fixture.

"The ideal situation is that we don't give those silly free kicks away around the box, that's how you stop him because if you don't give him free kicks he can't do it again," Jaaskelainen told the club's official website.

"He has obviously done lots of practice on the free kicks and the only thing a keeper can do is see the ball all the way and hope it doesn't go in right next to the post and he has a chance to save the ball."

West Ham are currently 11th in the league table.
