Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor has admitted that more is now expected of him and his teammates in this afternoon's game against Aston Villa after the 3-2 win at Old Trafford last week.
Adebayor, who could return to the side today, has urged his teammates to forget the last result and focus on the future.
"After the United game people will be expecting us to beat Villa at home," the Daily Star quotes Adebayor as saying.
"[However] I always say that whatever you achieve is already behind you. It's already gone. The most important thing is what you are going to achieve next.
"Winning at Old Trafford is something special and everyone was happy. [However] now we must forget it because if we lose against Villa there is no more joy in winning at United."
Spurs have recovered from a poor start and are currently seventh in the Premier League with 11 points from six games.
