Tom Carroll to miss four to six weeks of action with ankle ligament damage

Tom Carroll is expected to be out of action for between four and six weeks after suffering ankle ligament damage on international duty.

Swansea City midfielder Tom Carroll is expected to spend four to six weeks on the treatment table with ankle ligament damage.

The 22-year-old, who is on loan at the Liberty Stadium from Tottenham Hotspur, suffered the injury while on international duty with the England Under-21s this week.

According to Sky Sports News, tests have shown that Carroll, who returned to Spurs to receive treatment, will be unable to play for around one month.

Carroll, who has come through Tottenham's academy ranks, joined the Swans on a season-long loan last August.
