William Carvalho open to move away from Sporting Lisbon

William Carvalho is open to a move away from Sporting Lisbon this summer, with a host of top clubs wanting his signature.

William Carvalho has resurrected talk of a move away from Sporting Lisbon this summer.

The Portuguese defensive midfielder attracted interest from a host of top clubs across Europe even though the 22-year-old had denied any rumours of a move.

However, after Portugal's early elimination from the World Cup, the player himself isn't so sure of where he will be next season.

"Will I stay at Sporting? I don't know. I'm going back to Portugal and then we'll see," he told MaisFutebol.

Sporting are reportedly trying to renew Carvalho's contract, which has a release clause of €45m (£35.9m).
