Report: Manchester United want Alex Song

A report claims that Manchester United want to sign Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a move for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.

The 26-year-old moved to Spain from Arsenal in 2012, but has largely struggled to hold down a regular first-team spot at the Camp Nou.

The midfielder has appeared in 28 matches for Barca this season, but has been overlooked for Champions League and top-of-the-table clashes in La Liga.

According to Goal.com, United are prepared to pay in the region of £12.5m to land the Cameroon international this summer.

The Premier League champions have also reportedly agreed a deal to sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon.
