Famalicao and Belenenses go head to head at the Estadio Municipal de Famalicao in a highly-anticipated bottom-of-the-table clash in round 16 of the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Wednesday.

Both sides, who are separated by just three points at the bottom of the table, are without a win in their last four league games and will be aiming to end this dry spell.

With the sides separated by just three points at the bottom of the table, we expect them to take the game to each other in search of a morale boosting win. Guimaraes vs. Boavista (Wednesday, 7.00pm)

Looking to move into the Conference League qualification places, Vitoria de Guimaraes play host to Boavista at the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques on Wednesday.

The visitors, on the other hand, will head into the game aiming to get one over the hosts after suffering defeats in both home and away fixtures last season.

While Boavista will be aiming to keep the juggernaut rolling, they face the stern test of taking on Vitoria de Guimaraes away from home, where they are winless in their last seven meetings. Boavista are also unbeaten in their last four home games, and in contrast the visitors have lost their last four away games. We anticipate Vitoria de Guimaraes will come out on top in this one.

Sporting Lisbon vs. Portimonense (Wednesday, 9.00pm)

Having both secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Taca de Portugal last time out, Sporting Lisbon and Portimonense square off at the Estadio Jose Alvalade in round 16 of the Primeira Liga on Wednesday.

The hosts are currently level on points with Porto at the top of the league standings, while the visitors could move into the Conference League qualification places with all three points.

We say: Sporting Lisbon 2-0 Portimonense

Portimonense head into the game without a win in any of their last seven meetings against Sporting Lisbon and will be looking to end that dry spell. However, the Leoes have won each of their last nine home games and appear simply unstoppable at the moment. Looking at the gulf in class and quality between the two sides, we are backing Sporting to come away with all three points
