Spain goalkeeper Pepe Reina has joined compatriot David de Gea in criticising the ball that will be used at this summer's World Cup in Russia.

De Gea was beaten by a long-range strike from Thomas Muller during Friday's night's international friendly with Germany, and subsequently described the ball as "really strange".

Reina predicts that there will be plenty more long-range goals to come during the tournament in Russia, having branded the Adidas Telstar as "impossible to work out".

"I bet you as much as you like that we'll see at least 35 goals from long range in Russia, because it's impossible to work out," Reina told reporters.

"It's covered in a plastic film that makes it difficult to hold on to. Goalkeepers are going to have a lot of problems with this ball."

Spain have been drawn in Group B of the World Cup alongside Portugal, Morocco and Iran.
