AC Milan sporting director Massimiliano Mirabelli has revealed that the club hold an interest in signing Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina.
Last month, reports emerged that Reina had already told teammates that he would be leaving Naples at the end of his existing deal and despite turning 36 in August, the former Liverpool stopper is unlikely to be short of offers.
Milan are one of a number of teams previously suggested to be keen on Reina, and Mirabelli has acknowledged that the club have made an attempt to open discussions.
Mirabelli told Sky Sport Italia: "We did inform Napoli that we want to speak to Pepe Reina's agent, because we want to see if there's a possibility of bringing the player to Milan."
Reina has been a regular at Napoli since moving to the club in 2015, with 126 appearances being made in all competitions.
